no icons??

So i downloaded FfH II for the first time today and everything went smooth until the game started. The game starts up and I've got my people and they can move fine and everything but I have no icons, the only thing i can do is move. Maybe it has something to do with me having the Civ IV Gold Edition?

What do you mean with no icons? Do you have no interface? If so, try pressing alt+i

Try to rename your CustomAssets folder to customassets-old .

I tried both things and I still have no interface.

Did you download the full game and not just the latest patch? and you have at least patch 1.61 of civ 4 installed, and are using that disc, not the expansions?

Have you tried ALT-Tab and then returning?
