No Main Menu

The main menu for Beyond the Sword has no text on it. The Civ IV logo is there, as is the background. The text for the main menu options of single player, multiplayer, etc. are gone missing. I can still click in their location, and the game goes to the next menu, but the problem persists and there is still no text. After navigating Multiplayer->Online Game -> Login, the screen goes crazy and the game select screen begins to flash and basically come up all distorted.
Click on the shortcut to BtS.
Let the game load.
Skip the intro movies to the main menu.
The bug is there.

I'm running on Windows Vista x32, with a 7600GT with all updated drivers, playing Civ IV: BtS v. 3.03.

Any help is much appreciated.

I should note that I recently updated my nVidia drivers to play BioShock. 7.15.0011.6344 is the version number.

No text on any of the menus and it happened right after the "BioShock" NVIDIA driver update.

Some people have had this issue with the latest nvidia beta drivers. Some have fixed it by rolling back to the last release version, others have found setting GUIManagedTextures to 1 in the .ini file solves the problem.

thanks for the pointer!

Did you change the ini file for BOTH CIV4 AND Beyond The Sowrd? I changed the CIV4 ini at first and it didn't make a difference, then I updated the BTS ini file and it worked like a charm!

I changed the BTS ini, didn't try changing the Civ4 one as well though.
