No notification of new tech

Do you have "No Reward Popups" checked in the Game Options?
Is it just me or has the tech completion popup window and accompanying audio been missing since version 10.4? I have deleted the cache, rebooted, etc., but no longer have the popup and audio when completing a tech. I really miss hearing "the meek shall inherit the earth, but NOT it's mineral rights"!

I'm getting the same thing, however I am getting a notification. However when I click on the notification I still don't get the actual pop up window and audio as I used to.

Could you give more details on the problem you've encountered? Do any error messages appear in the tuner?
.No Reward Popups is unchecked. Still not getting the tech popup and audio.
Just uploaded the "new" old version 10.4, but still no popup tech completion window.
OK, I have just isolated the tech popup bug to VEM 10.4/10.5. I can run CIVUP with all of Thals's recommended additional mods and I still get the tech completion popup and audio. But, when I add VEM 10.4 it is broken. I know versions previous to 10.4 worked fine.

Could you try this?
- Open a game saved immediately before a tech completes.
- Open the tuner.
- End your turn.
- What messages display in the tuner?
