No resource icons until I reload the game

So, I have this weird bug where the first game I load does not display resource icons, I then have to exit to main menu and reload the same game, then it works.

But the most frustrating part is that the game often CTD's when returning back to main menu (even with the retire option), prompting me to reload the game again, load the first time, and cross my fingers that the exit to main menu doesn't crash so I can play with the resource icons.

I made a mess out of this post, I hope you understand what I mean.

Click on the globe icon, at the bottom right of the screen. That will zoom you out to world view. Check which resources are selected. Make sure the resources Icon is selected. They do sometimes get turned off.
