No strategic resourced on map

Hi

I just started on a new map with v96 enalbed and found out that there are NO strategic resourced (horses, iron, oil) on the map!

Has anyone else experienced this?

Did you have all necessary techs researched at the time? Using the reveal map will not reveal resources still hidden unless done through the tuner and specified so.
 
What map script is that? I haven't tested the mod thoroughly on map scripts other than Archipelago, Pangaea, Continents, and their Plus-versions. I believe the resource placement might have issues on some flat-world maps and haven't had time to sit down and figure out workarounds.
 
Sneaks: The screen shot is from the World Builder, so no tech requirements involved.

Thal: Have to admit that it was with a slightly modified Pangaea script (nothing major - just minimized polar regions) and that I had other scripts involved. Just tried again with only v96 enabled and with standard Pangaea script. Same results as the included screen shot from World Builder shows.

If I'm the only one experiencing this you don't have to dig to hard for my sake. I'll just disable your mod while creating the map and enable it afterwords. Of course I'll miss the adjustments you made, but... Regarding that you adjusted the amount of strategic resources per tile - do you have some rough amount numbers I could use?

Well if it is worldbuilder, my guess is that for some reason there are no assigned starting points for civs, thus the assignstartingplots.lua has no idea what the general zone to plop early resources is.
 
Sneaks is right. I patterned strategic resource placement off luxuries, which depend on where people are placed. I haven't had time to sit down yet and figure out how luxuries are done when there's no one on the map, such as in the worldbuilder.

So I have no way of using the Worlsd Builder to create maps while having your mod enabled?

The resources can be placed with the WB tools. Compatibility with the WB's random resource placement is just a low priority right now, since it doesn't affect many players, and there's the manual placement workaround.

Do you mean manually placing the resources on the map?

If so I'd rather recommend my method: Disable "Unofficial Patch and Vanilla Enhanced" mod, create a map (thereby getting strategic resources placed using the vanilla mathod) and enabling the mod again before starting the game.

Of course I for one am looking forward to using your mod in the placement.
