Did you go lib? If so, think it's better to just go communism if the game is going late. Don't see the point in self tech econ. You will get plenty of conquest gold.

thx. alredy went for lib, got nationalism and built taj for a 17 turn golden age, but they are not lagging behind

980 AD (immortal):
Won lib race at 700 AD and cuirs at 980 AD. Is that a good date for immortal? Felt I didn't do any bad detours on tech path. Only got 1 merchant out in GA plus 2 scientists who were 50/50 to be merchants and I got unlucky. Just got a second merchant at 980 AD, but still low on funds and only about 12 HAs built. Went into organized religion at end of GA and made good progress on forges/universities etc. Now ready to start whipping units like a bastard and take down Hatty. Poor girl everyone is picking on her. She might even peace vassal to me soon.

Mostly recovered from the economic hit of late pottery / anti-barb warrior spam. Just founded 5th city (with 4 workers total). Third city (Munich) on jungle dye T50 for the pre-wheel trade route and extra commerce city center. Fourth city after pottery (T58). Still have 2 (hopefully) uncontested spots, one north and one for horses W of capital (though Wang Kon could really troll me there if he wanted).

The Aesthetics-Great Library line looks promising here on the way to Cuirs, especially with neighbors of the more peaceful variety.

if you take a screenshot during the game, it gets saved into the screenshots folder of the folder the game is located in. how to upload then, don't really remember now, but remember to do it in a spoiler (button in the forum). to attach saves, there is a button on the lower left side of the text bar with a paper clip and the wording "Attach files". good gaming
