Not Starting Up, But No Errors???!!!!

HEY THERE, THIS IS MY FIRST TIME HERE, SO I HOPE THIS IS HELPFUL...
HERE IS MY PROBLEM:
when i double click the shortcut to start the game, it initiates a loading screen, and it stops in the middle of it and nothing happens, [it stops at Int Audio] but it gives no errors, and it stops loading.... i have no idea what to do... plzzzz help....

hey drofd, tnx for the hint but i tried it on 2 pc's and they're bothe powerful..

civ_god06.. please tel me how toget my dxdiag..... or how to go to direct x..

Start Button - click- select run - type dxdiag - press enter - wait a min - select "save all information" - remember where saved - post as an attachment using the 'go advanced button below'

civ's on the forum a lot - he'll pick it up when you have posted it

This sounds like my problem - see thread on "new computer, same old problem" (although I eventually got a send a message to Microsoft message). I have concluded (after borrowing another disk and running it without problems) that my disk is faulty. If you can borrow another disk it would be worth trying it out.
