NotW XXX: Dark Radiance Game Thread

((OOC: Perhaps you missed this qualifier, as well. I think that Frozen would be an incredibly poor GM to mark me for death by calling me inhuman if I were, in fact, inhuman))

"You know 'Almost' is close enough. The fact your are still alive after that is highly questionable. I doubt even I nor the VDF agents would have survived that blast. Hell i almost died from a piece of shrapnel."

Frowning in defiance, he propped himself up against a wall, a pistol in one hand and the flaregun in the other, the glowing stone hanging around his neck now on a poorly fashioned necklace.

"Fine then. Be aware that you're not only losing a high-strength innocent, but you're also losing a few more of yourselves. Can you survive that? If you come for me, I will take down a few of you. I can't be put down that easily, because of the stone. But I'm not controlling those basilisks - and I'm not with the bloody VDF, either. I'm fairly certain they're innocent, but I don't have proof."

"Let's think about this logically for just one second. I know that you Silent Ash will refuse to consider my arguement, because I'm an easy lynch, but seriously? Let's think about it."

ONE - If I am controlling the basilisks, why would so many of my actions be in favor of the VDF agents? I didn't vote for Vandal Warlord, I did give CCRunner a pistol the second he arrived, merely because he was asking around for it (reducing my own strength, I might add!), and voting against choxorn for voting for the VDF agents? It doesn't make any bloody sense. I could have tagged along with this little lynch the special agents game and everything would have been fine.

TWO - If the VDF are sinister, and I am on their team, that would make FOUR of us. Combined with an obvious threat of the Silent Ash and Three confirmed members (plus Love, the Vigilante Killer), doesn't it seem a little stacked against the innocents at this point? (unless, of course, the VDF aren't here hurt us...)

THREE - I have an alibi, completely verifiable in item form. Nobody seems at all eager to even so much as check my alibi. I'll warn you now - if you check it the hard way, it's not just my funeral."

((OOC: Even injured, I have a strength of 1(3). This used to be 1(4), until I was hit with the blast - which, by the way, is obviously the work of Love. Good job there, Love. Sorry I couldn't die properly to your murderous vigilante-ism.

Frozen explained to me what I lost when I was injured - The ability to use the engineering tools at night, and one point of effective strength. My Flaregun, My Pistol, and my Stone all still work. One of the Stone's abilities that I recieved after night three was the ability to take down people if I am lynched. I can safely give up the stone, because the Flaregun will prevent me from being killed at night while somebody else checks my story. If you are so keen to have me dead, please try and provide something other than a goddamn TIME TO DIE TRAITOR WAHAHAHA))

"When you die, do you mind taking out the Csargo and Choxorn? It would be helpful to the innocent cause I believe. But you do raise some interesting points. What is a government offical coising up to the VDF for?"

(OOC: In another life, I was a nature mage. I was considered a wolf if you like and I had a curious ability. If I was lynched I would take out a number of people equal to my strength. Does this sound familar? )

I personally am not convinced TFA is guilty, rather I have a feeling that Choxorn has been acting strange, nothing specific, just his recent posts.

"Personally, I feel that CivGeneral's reaction to the whole mess marks him as more guilty in my eyes, but if I must go with Choxorn (whom I also find suspicious) to save this game from being lost to the wolves when I get lynched, then so be it."

"Sprig for the pills"

"I am anxious not to let both TFA and Choxorn live past this day. For this reason, I accuse choxorn and hope that he will be lined up with TFA."

"As for the matter of TFA's defense, I have never seen an innocent fight so hard to stay alive and then threaten everyone that lynching him will hurt them."

EDIT: A tally for reference

TheForestAuro : 5 (Askthepizzaguy, Beefy187, Choxorn, CivGeneral, Love)

Choxorn: 4 (CCRunner, j63356d, TheForestAuro, Sprig)

Beefy187: 1 (Stuck in Pi,)

(OOC: I will be in a meeting for a couple of hours so i might not be around for the update. I want to stress to everyone that it is important to keep your votes where they are. Any changing of accusations, will be regarded as suspecious.)

J6 - I would like a response to our private conversation earlier.

Why do the VDF agent divide their vote, if they are the same team?

Stuck in Pi, Beefy's not going to be lynched, I don't imagine. I'm not sure what your purpose is. You should pick a side here.

Do you trust your partner or not?

I don't care who you vote for, but the game could very well be on the line here. Do you not have an opinion as to who, among choxorn and TFA, are more likely to be guilty?

I also wonder why Csargo refuses to vote here. If he's an innocent he should weigh in. Every vote counts here in the endgame. :(

Ok heaps of questions time for the VDF

How long do we have until the basilisk matures?
Since you killed one, we must be correct in thinking that they are being controlled?
What happens if we kill the people controlling them? Do the basilisk just bugger off?
What is the VDF angle here?
Would I be right in concluding that the VDF are interested in perhaps taming one of these basilisk for there own uses or at least finding out how? I imagine that the higher ups would be quite interested in these creatures.
Have you guys found out more about the AA guns which shot down your plane?

Any Answers?

"ATPG, if it will change your vote from me, I will give up all of my items. I am an innocent - all I wish to do is survive this horrible mess. I have this stone and box, which blame entrusted to me because he was sure that I was innocent (through what means I know not). Blame was also sure Diamondeye was innocent - he was a vocal defendant of Diamondeye, who did turn out to be innocent as well. I will give whatever it takes to stay alive, because I know for a fact that If you lynch me today we will lose."

(OOC: This is my entire character. I am a Government Representitive that was sent here to watch over a sleepy colony. I snuck a pistol in to start - this was my starting item, which I gave to CCRunner. He can confirm this. I started with a Strength of 1(2). The same day I gave away my pistol, the spiked stone in the box that blame gave me took numerical effect. My Strength stayed at 1(2) even though I lost the pistol. That is the name of the item, "Spiked Stone", and it was in a box. Blame warned me that it could hurt someone if they held it too long, although I have seen no ill effects. At a later point, my strength increased to 1(3). When I received all of the items, that night, I used the engineering tools to start to weld down the door to Frozen's Office. This is where I was at night - I have the tools and the door is damaged. What other alibi do you want? My goddamn personal goal is "be the first to accuse a guilty party" because it will advance my political career.))

((When I recieved the pistol from the flood of items you all entrusted me, my strength went to 1(4), which surprised me due to the fact that I assumed they would not stack. This is apparently not the case. I gave away three of the items, including the reference books which obviously have a use to ATPG. Then, I randomly selected people to give away the rest of the items which appeared to have no use, and kept the Flare Gun, which can protect against an attack, and the Pistol, to myself. I knew myself to be innocent so the pistol in my hands is Pro-Innocent, and with such a high strength I knew the Flare Gun would be pro-innocent as well. If I was making the attacks, wouldn't I want to just give away the Flare Gun as a token of good will?))

((The same night my strength increased to 1(4), the stone gave me a new ability - when I die, not just a lynch, I take some people with me. This ability was called "To Your Last Breath". My victory condition also changed from "Innocent Victory" to "Just Survive". It appears to me, though, that any means of escaping have long since passed with Seon's departure, so I'm in this for the long haul, and I'd rather not end up as Basilisk food, or fighting to my last breath in a few hours.))

((Do not lynch me now, ATPG. If you are innocent, then you will know it's a terrible idea. Those of you who are innocent have to save me, because the Silent Ash will never change their vote against me, so it's up to you.))

((I have nothing else to say. If you lynch me, then you'll know the truth. If we're lucky, I'll take out some of the bad guys. If we're not, we lose immediately. Don't do this, please.))

Pills to Sprig.

I had been busy ATPG, which is why I hadn't changed my vote, which I will now change to Choxorn.

To Sprig:
1. Not sure. The VDF has little information on the matter.
2. They are being controlled by the Silent Ash, yes.
3. We believe the basilisks will revert to killing randomly, as is their nature.
4. The VDF angle is to keep the Silent Ash from taking control of the base.
5. The VDF has no interest in taming a basilisk, only keeping this base and those loyal to Thrane in it alive.
6. We have found out nothing else about the AA guns.

I could always do a choxorn support vote. What has convinced you of my innocence, TheForestAuro? If I remember correctly you weren't sure about it. Not only that, I was one of the people who approved of the possible vigilante hit against you.

If VDF isn't silent ash, and you're not, then who is?

If you give me your items, I'll switch to choxorn. I know that if my strength rating increases, the worst thing that can happen is that the total strength of the innocents remains the same. Or it will increase. I guess what I am saying is, I can be bribed. You government officials understand this concept all too well, yes?

I have transferred all of the items, except for the stone, to you. Until this day is through, it is my insurance agent.

This doesn't mean I trust you, ATPG. It just means I have to.

Very well. I've been curious to see choxorn's true colors. If he's innocent, and he had an anti-VDF ability, I have to conclude that the VDF agents are our enemies.

All of this can be answered with "You are a VDF agent." If you are, then it makes since to support them. If you are, then yes, you have four members, and Silent Ash probably has 3. Does 7 wolves seem unreasonable for a game this big? And since you're not with the Silent Ash, then what you were doing last night would not have prevented the basilisk from attacking CCRunner. But fine, nobody will listen, it's now 6 me 4 TFA. But all of the questions can be answered with our deaths. sprig, please change your vote back to TFA, OK? It will cause a tie and ensure both of our deaths. Then you'll be able to see the answers to all your questions, and you'll see that the VDF are scum. Either Csargo, CivGeneral, or both of them are with the Silent Ash, so TFA, if you're innocent or not Silent Ash, could you bring down them when you get lynched, if you still can? And Love, when it's shown that the VDF are wolves, you should know who to bomb.

And you aren't convinced of TFA's guilt? If he's guilty (which he is), you need to lynch him now if you don't want the innocents to become the minority. If he's not, then he can use the stone to kill the Silent Ash guys. Either way, all your questions will be answered, so why not kill us both?

I'm guilty of being a VDF agent, choxorn? Except...I'm an inhuman monster lying about my abilities?

Which is it choxorn? Am I VDF agent, or am I a monstrous silent ash basilisk controller?

Neither. I'm not guilty of anything other than being in the wrong goddamn base at the wrong time.
