The ex-commander looked up at the sun, It felt like it had left everybody for ever and he was glad to see its return unlooked for. He looked around at the few survivers. He saw the technician working away as he had done over the last week. He also saw the cook studying hard trying to piece together what little infomation they had. The Ex-commander was proud of both of them. Normally you would expect the civilians to crack first but they worked hard with resilience, especially that technician who must know what horrors faced him. The Ex-Commander waved over to him.

“Beefy my lad, how are you feeling today?”​

The ex-commander looked over and saw the Train Conductor, even though she was not from this base he too, was working hard. The ex-commander noticed her carrying the medical equipment and gave her a light nod and laughed when the train Guard gave him a salute in return. However the ex-commander was distracted by the two agents coolly sitting in the shade. ‘Far too calm’ he thought ‘Guess you can be like that when you are VDF’ the ex-commander walked over to them and addressed them both.

“I have been meaning to have a talk to you guys. First off, I can’t get anything on this radio. Do you have any contact with anyone outside this base? Oh and another thing, what exactly happened the other night. I had asked but you seemed to ignore me. I want, in exact detail, what happened when the Basilisk tried to attack you at night!”​

What are you able to do with the keys and the mystery box Askthepizzaguy?

To be honest I don't know yet, but kind of like the advanced binoculars and the reference books, et al, I'd like to at least look at them and gain information from them. Apparently the binoculars saw nothing at all last night.

The keys are probably important. We can lock or unlock things as needed, and I assume everyone can use them. As for the mystery box, well, Good or Ill, I feel I am a good guinea pig to open it up and see what is inside, then I will report it, if it is not a huge security risk. Basically this just falls under the category of "I trust myself as innocent, and the innocents need to know".

Plus I have this kick butt rifle in case anyone attacks me.

WORD TO THE WISE: The basilisks apparently procreate and enter our bodies through AIRBORNE SPORES, if I am interpreting the reference books correctly.

"Hence the gasmasks the VDF wear then? And speaking about them, I must show my surprise at Rifleman's innocence. It has only raised my suspicions and question the motivation of the Agents here. I am torn between accusing one of them or the weapon specialist!"​

Yes, that is why we wear the gasmasks, it makes us immune to conversion.

Anyway, I'm of the opinion that the silent Csargo has had his time to speak up.

Okay, on the Basilisks:

They are made from mutations of normal animals due to the disaster, I suspect because of nuclear radiation. So, normal animals mutate into these things, the basilisks, and they spit acid. They multiply via the airborne spores, they infect us from the inside, and then they either turn US into basilisks or they burst out of our chest, killing us in the process. Now I haven't seen that happen, so I suspect that they mind control us or what have you, and we become aligned with whatever it is.

Finally, Csargo is probably the evil among us, and he gotta go.

Also it is my sad duty to inform you guys that I am probably infected now.

I had stomach pains last night. From the description, I estimate this is in the earliest stages, maybe one or two days until I turn into the enemy. Though at this rate it doesn't matter, the game will be decided by then.


EDIT:

Oh, there's more: Apparently the Basilisks DO kill you when they leave your body. So when Beefy or I dies, that's a new Basilisk.

Wait a minute. The basilisks seem to be non-player characters. Am i right? Didn't we kill one during one of these recent days, with no player being identified as a "basilisk"?

If I die, and the basilisk inside me starts killing things, that is not me killing, that's maybe a controlling force at best, perhaps random attacks.

Why can't we lock ourselves in one of these rooms, guys? Search the room very thoroughly first, and then lock ourselves in the room, preventing basilisk attacks?

"The Agent Stuck in Pi confirmed that the basilisk as being controlled. When all the slient ash are dead the Basilisk will go back to random killing. Now it is my suspicion, that the VDF are the ones that have caused the cook and technician to become infected. Now why has Agent Smoker (CCRunner) refused to answer my questions?”​

Commander Sprig. Sorry for the slow reply.. I was dozing off a bit.

This is my day 2 of what seems to be a basilisk invasion if Askthepizzaguy is correct. I feel no worse. But no better either.

What is in my stomach still seems to be in my stomach unfortunately.

CivGeneral, did you attempt a operation on me yesterday?

I shot one, and presumably killed it since the kills per night has dropped. The other was driven off by one of the gas canisters I keep on my person at all times. It may be dead, it may not be, I have no idea. The lack of a kill suggests the later though (not saying it IS, just that it could be)

If I say that those gas canisters spreaded the basilisk/ virus thing, am I being too paranoid?

I mean, no one has reported it before you lot came around.

Say beefy, uh.... given that you and I are on our way out the door here, would you care to take a swing at who the Silent Ash and/or whatever other evil there is remaining are, with your vote? I have to assume we will need a concerted effort to lynch anyone guilty at this point.

I'd have to read through the alive people's posts to see, since I have been pretty lazy about reading the thread.

I have a Pistol, Shotgun, and Rifle. Nothing else.

No, the only thing I've gotten information on is the indigestion from last night. Other than that I've done nothing.

Nope, none at all. I'd say I was a top candidate for lynching yes. Considering how I've participated up until this point.

CCRunner Posts seem lacking in info and opinions on the game, and is the best I can come up with.
