Now that I'm up and running, where do I find the downloads for the game of the month? I must have missed the road sign saying download this month's GOTM here>>>

The GOTM forums are here. Classic games, the only ones you can play with vanilla, are announced a few days before the 15th of each month, and close a month later normally. GOTM 51 is the current game and its closing date is 22nd as GOTM 50 ran later.

Beamup has given you the gotm web site url. The left hand menu is for Civ3 activities. Check out the results and other stats pages while you are there. There's also a Submissions page that you use to upload your final save.
