Nuclear bombers?

Here's the idea: becuase you always have to acquire the computer and sattelite techs to get ICBMs and tack nukes. I think you should be able to build B-52s that drop A-bombs after you or any other civ finishes the manhattan project.

They can be like regular bombers (only a lot harder to build) that can be intercepted by enemy fighters or SAMs but thay can't be loaded on carriers. And finally they should'nt have any defensive value because that'll be unfare.

I think its a nice idea for those who feel that america didn't drop a tack nuke from a nuke sub on Heroshima. :nuke:
 
Probably such units could be modded in - any way the number of units they are including in their first pack is way too less.
 
Tack on idea to this is Nuke Subs with more then one tac missle
Also I dont think this unit can be modded in because nukes are killed on use.
 
It would be agreat addition to the game. But i also feel that the effects of Nuclear Weapons in the game need to be a little more deverstating. They are powerful but they certainly dont seem to have all that major enviromental damage. Just aload of pollution that some workers can clean up for you. Almos tas if Radiation needs to be added as an addition to polution.
 
i personaly think that the efests of nukes needs reajusting
A-bombs should only destory the square targeted
H-bombs should cover all squares next to target square
radeation (sp) should not b counted as polution but should eleminate all shelds on the target and ech square away from it should have the efects decresed and it can not b clened up by workers but go threw radeoactive (sp) decay
 
I understand entirely radiation should be a different type of pollution alltogether and may end up staying the rest of the game sometimes even spreading.
 
Suggested affects of nuking a city:
The population of a city decreases by around 70% and the remaining population migrates to the surrounding cityies increasing their popuation, decreasing the happiness rate in the surrounding cities and also overall decrease in happiness in the nation and ally nations. ALl improvements in the city are destroyed.

The city tile (not surrounding tiles) become unfit for the next 30-40 yrs. Global warming pointer also increases.
 
That would be indeed a good addition. ive tried modding the gam before to add radiation but nothing ever seems to work all that well. Any ideas of what to do ?
 
I think nuclear bombers should work like regular bombers when you don't load a nuke in them, and when you do, they become nuclear bombers, and bobmard nuclearly.

I think, like bluemofia said, it should be a normal bomber in which you load nuclear bombs. I don't think they were superior bombers with the superpower of dropping nuclear bombs. And bombs definitivly have to be build. It would be totally unrealistic to have a bomber on a carrier and every turn, it launches a new nuclear bomb out of nowhere.

your idea is completely right, there should be bombers dropping a/h-bombs instead of icbm's in the begining also i agree with the abomb 1 sq. and hbomb surrounding sq. idea
