how aobut a option with icbms, after ur build one, u can if u want select a city of ur rivles civs on a list. if this civ was to atack u with nuclear weopns, u whold on that same civs lunch urs aotomaticly (u whold get an option saying soemtthing like "the evil x civilazion has atacked us with nuclear technology, whold u like do fire a defesinve strik?!" this whol pop up right when the first nuck its ur city, the option then whold pop up, secleting yes whold fire a defesince strike during ther turn (the ais turn), this whold Not or have very liltel rep hit for u becus it was a defesinve strike
 
While I think the auto-strike would be a decent option, I disagree on the little or no rep hit. A counter-strike should have less ramifications, but any use of nukes should draw a reaction from the AI players. Personally, I've always thought it was too high, but that would err too far on the other side.
 
You should get an option on the military advisor screen to launch all your Nukes at predetemined targets so you could lanuch a full strike without going to each nuke also give a varify pop up so you cant mistakenly launch Nukes
 
I would like an auto nuke response to a nuclear attack by an enemy with little or no rep hit. I would like the option to select how many nukes I fire in response. After a nuke attack the following box should pop up.

"X" city has been nuked!
Would you like to:
1. Turn the other cheek (and fire no nukes)
2. Show em we have 'em too (fire 1 nuke)
3. Proportional force (fire as many as they fired at us)
4. Level them! (Fire all nukes
5. Custom (select how many you want to fire manually
