Nukes and farms.

In my last game I dropped 2 nukes and over 10 atomic bombs on Ramses. Subsequently all of my farms disappeared off of the map and my cities were plunged into starvation. Is this the new way the game deals with global warming? I never saw a warning screen about global warming, but after a few blasts, I was left with nothing but trading posts and mines on my continent.

Sounds like a bug, as there's no mention of global warming/civilopedia in the manual I think.

I remember there being a similar penalty in the original civ.

It's not global warming.... it's nuclear winter

Bug. There's no anti nuke mechanic other than diplomatic. Even then they just get a bit mad with you.

Having said that, you've loosed off a lot more megatonnage than I ever have, so maybes I shouldn't discount them putting something in the game without telling us.
