We all know calender render the obelisk usless.
Does that mean it generates no more culture?
What about other buildings or wonders?
Do they still make culture and not have the main effect?
I am puting off researching it for a while, I have other stuff anyways, so I can real more from my obelisks.
Good move?

As pointed out in the manual, culture production is not affected by obsolescence, but you can't build any more of the building, and its other effects are removed (the exception apparently is monasteries) - in the case of the obelisk, calendar only means you can't build any new obelisks, unless yours were provided by stonehenge, in which case they disappear since they are stonehenge's effect.

This has been covered here.

Am I the only one that finds that odd? That seems like a game error to me…

Thanks. It does though seem weird that it still does what you built it for.

Only because its only purpose is to generate culture.
