Hi there, I've been searching around the forums for a while now and haven't found any mention of this, so my apologies up front if it's posted somewhere else.
I recently purchased a new laptop and since installing BTS, I have had all sorts of fun trying to get it to launch consistently. Sometimes it works fine, other times it just sits at the "loading" window (the one with the 6 languages) then I get an error from Vista saying that BTS is no longer responding.
However, I've found what appears at this point to be a consistent workaround: if I eject & re-insert the disc into my CD drive, then run off of the Autoplay popup, everything works just fine.
Anyone ever seen this before?
My specs are:
Civ 4 BTS, 3.13 Patch + Buhrick's patch
Vista Home Premium
HP Pavilion dv9744CA
GeForce 8600M GS 512MB
Toshiba DVDW/HD SD-L802B ATA
Realtek High Def Audio
Not sure if I'm going to stick with Vista, but I'm on the fence right now. This is leaning me towards downgrading, since I never had this sort of problem with XP, but it's definitely bizarre.
Any advice or help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
