I've been playing Civ3 for quite some time when all of sudden I encountered a problem with my fonts. (On XP, SP3)
On the window where another computer player contacts me asking for a trade, I
can select the "will you listen to my proposal instead" (paraphrasing here...)
The window displays but the text which has severl options, I can't tell what they
are because they appear at the bottom of the display and off the screen.
There are some other font problems, like for instance when the list of things a city
can build is displayed, not all of the non-wonder things are listed and there is no
scroll bar. Things appear double spaced for some reason.
I have tried the following:
- re-install of video card device driver
- re-install of monitor driver
- re-install of tt_ and fo_ fonts from install disc
- removal and re-install of Civ 3
- Using a utility to clean out my registry
- Updates to XP
None of this works. Any ideas?
