Off top thread's disapearing

Actually isn't a thread almost something that belongs to you so you may be at least a little disappointed if no one replies and so you would also be slightly annoyed if someone deleted your thread and the situation is often made worse if it simply disappears without any kind of warning.
 
The moral of this tale?

Only make a thread if you know it is going to be relevant.
Don't waste bandwith and mod patience on antagonistic threads.

I find enforcing spam, trolling, and other topic standards very tiresome, but them be the rules here.
 
I thought the moral of this tale was to "tow the line or else!"...

...always good advice when you are not the enforcer, and you don't like facing consequences. ;)

There are plenty of other sites where you can pour bile on any nation you want, and nobody will say a word.

Here, that ISN'T the case.

Taking extra effort to clean threads fro the benefit of rules violaters is a favor within the discretion of the moderator. My time goes a $300 per hour in the real world, five dollars a minute. I suggest you take the effort and you much lower value time to do it right in the first place.
