Having just looked at the dutch periodic table some of the names look nice in English; Waterstof, boor, stikstof, zuurstof. Or name them after the transition metals; chroom, mangaan, ijzer etc. I don;t really mind what topic we use, I'd personally vote for whatever group or series of names sounded the coolest.
that is the link to the dutch periodic table that I used. Dutchfire can comment if it seems correct and on preper spelling I'm sure. We could do this as a proper poll or poll by paw, but this isn;t technically my area, so...
The translations are all correct as far as I can see. (Alternatively, you could just wiki the element you want translated and click "Nederlands" in de languages box in the left menu.)
@Krill: I see you edited your post with a list of names. They're all correct except Ijzer, which should be spelled IJzer (yeah, Dutch is a funny language ).
So of those elements are rather obscure though. What about this ordering:
O - Zuurstof H - Waterstof
C - Koolstof
N - Stikstof
Fe - IJzer
Au - Goud
Ag - Zilver
Cu - Koper
S - Zwavel
P - Fosfor
He - Helium
Pb - Lood
Na - Natrium
Hg - Kwik
