In the two games Im playing now Im doing rather well, I finally figured out how to get my science up!

Well the game is over and I won but not how I thought I would win. I ended up with huge tech lead just about like I would on warlord level. I kept peace with the aztec he was polite most the time so I figured space race. I figured that diplomatic was out. Then as I tried to plant a spy with the aztec bam they declared war. Well I was more than prepared. I always try to carry a big stick. I had already established two cities on his continent and had transports loaded with infantry and artillery to go after his capital. Well I took about 7 or 8 cities and my Democracy could take no more so I made peace with him. I was getting ivory from the german but he made outrageous demands for it every time. I was quickly growing tired of it because I knew he could not defend himself from me. Well I loaded some more transports about 4 to be exact and landed and had the german eliminated in 4 turns. Egypt and I had signed a MPP and he joined the war with me. This is where the game had a real twist. I captured the last german town I had one turn left on UN. Egypt was gracious to me at the time I just got done talking to her. Well as I ended my turn she attacked. Big mistake!!!!!! I still went ahead with the vote because I knew she wouldnt vote for aztecs they had been at war with each other too many times and I was bigger than Aztec so I had a shot. Well the votes were all counted and no clear winner. That shot my patients with all of them. I attacked the egyptian ruthlessly and took all her towns on my continent and declared war on the aztecs and took several of his towns. Then bang 1991 DOMINATION VICOTORY!! Woohoo!!

There are some games targeted at newbies. I've just joined my first which starts tomorrow. It's chieftain, which I've moved on from for my own games, but it should be a good introduction to succession games.

Just keep an eye on the forum and jump in where you can. There is a specific thread for announcing new games.
