OK to install Blue Marble terrain?

I've just downloaded the Blue Marble terrain. I haven't even looked at the installation instructions yet. But, I'm wondering if there are any warnings or caveats regarding GOTM and things like the Blue Marble pack.

Civ4 version 1.61 doesn't include pure graphics mods in the asset checking process, so you should be able to use Blue Marble or any other terrain mod with the current asset-protected GOTMs.

However.. if you use the civscale program that comes with blue marble, you need to set scaling back to normal to load GOTM saves

BTW - the pre-game discussion screenshot for GOTM-07 is with blue marble.
