Don't know if you know it or heard about it, but it's an ancient curse and it goes: May you live in interesting times.

Well inspired by this I came up with my own curse, and it goes like this: May all your games have a Petra spot.

May all those who try to conquer burn in the dromon fire of Byzantium

Yeah... The thing about these curses are that they sound good initially but show themselves to be bad.

Like the one found on a Roman ring: May you live well inside a God.

It would help if this were added to the opening post.

Anyway, my shot at it...

"May you always enjoy the wealth of many a great merchant."

May thine borderland city states always be rich in uranium, so that you can fight the Mongols...

"May your archers be blessed by the range of Apollo".

No offense to the posters, but King Course's idea of an old Chinese curse is completely missed. The idea is it needs to be a mixed blessing. Bittersweet might be a good word
A blessing for a Football QB would sound as "May your many interceptions all be fumbled"
At any rate, I do like the Petra line... perfectly worked the Chinese curse
I can't really think of a comparable quote to match it... so far

New Civilization curse: May your GE-built Great Wall never come to use

"May the cities you found build many spaceship parts in the future."

"Hiawatha, may all your settlers find refuge in an encampment"

'May your walls and castles be of great use'

'May your forests bring you great wealth'
'May your neighbors visit often and in great numbers'
'May your friends look to you first for aid when needful'

'May your military adviser trip on a sock and die'
'May your people be happiest among all in the world'
