Hey everyone!

I'm playing as Nubia, continents on Emperor I knocked off one Civ, and have kept Norway as a neighbor. I had no plans to kill Russia, but they just attacked me with...nothing to talk about.

I still do not want to kill them, as the real estate is massive and it gives Norway and I something to bond over. Plus, I find CIV 6's detailed mgmt not all that fun, so I really don't want any more land than needed.

Have 5 cities, 2 of which I took. The question now is really where to settle, and how many cities do I truly need? How much effort is it to try and get those Pyramids next to the Capital? Do I care that I have a very long border?

Anyway, looking forward to any advice on all facets of the game - and no, not going to go Domination, but some war if it makes sense.

Russia and Norway share the same continent, and from what we can see on the map, your amenity count won’t grow by attacking both (unless there is another continent we can’t see). If you attack both your amenity needs will grow but your amenity count will not. So I’d say pick one of them and take ‘em out. I'd lean strongly toward the one that just declared a surprise war on me.

Bonding with the AI is overrated. Theatre Squares and a free Vilnius suzerainship after you liberate it, however, is not.

Don’t settle any. You have an army, it’s bought and paid for. It’s in enemy territory, the enemy is nowhere to be seen. Take ‘em out.
Tactically speaking, you should take Russia. You have the advantage and your troops are in the area. Strategically speaking, your ranged troops get +50% experience so you should use them. The Russian cities are free settlers and one less warlike civ on the continent to mess up your non-Domination victory plans.

Shrug.

EDIT: Ran a few turns of your game. Take it with a grain of salt, shrug again.
