Dear Duke,
I have checked out the index of old GOTM games but cannot find the original game starts. I would like to try some of those games, ones before I found the GOTM forum. Are they available anywhere?
Thanks.

Each GOTM had a separate thread, as well as a Spoiler thread. The starting save was usually at the head of the first thread. If you are missing specific ones and cannot find them online (some links got broken to downloads a while ago), post the numbers and I'll see if I have them in my own files.

I have tried the first few games (1-3) and can't find the ".sav" to download. Here's what shows when I use the index forum and hit the thread...

font size=2>GAME OF THE MONTH #1</font>

Start: 2/16/2001
End: 3/16/2001

Game Info:

- Normal size random map
- Emperor level
- 6 Civilizations
- Raging horde barbarians
- You start with 2 settlers and 4 techs (lucky you!)

The game is saved to a saved game (GOM01.sav). I used Civ2 Classic to create the saved game so everyone should be able to play it.

Download the file (5 KB) today and start the game. Let's see who can have the highest score or Quickest Win! NOTE: cheaters are not welcomed!

At the end of the contest, top 3 players and the Quickest Win player will have their saved games and names posted in a new Hall of Fame dedicated to GOTMs.

Good Luck and Happy Civing! <IMG SRC="http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/smile.gif" border=0>

PS: Feel free to discuss the game below and talk about your progress...

Can I get some of the very oldest games? I like playing CivII alot and doing the GOTM gives me a chance to compare and try different types of playing (OCC, ELG, etc.) from the same start as other players have or will.

Thank you so very much putting together that list. I have downloaded all the ones I can. There were a couple of glitches. GOTM 19 saves as a zip file and not a "xxxx.sav" file. Games 25 and 26 give me the deadly "The page cannot be found" screen.
Thank you, again.
