Well it's obvious that that black man is taking advance of the situation by taking as much beer with him as he possibly could. The white people only have bread and soda which is basic stuff needed for survival.

Taking bread from a store isn't looting, it's stealing, taking as much beer with you as you can is looting.

how is that pic racist?
It doesn't even mention the man is black! It simply shows a beer looter, who happens to be black, just like, what, 60 or 70% of the people in NO?



The other combination of pics&comments is indeed racist. There are two people carrying sodas, whereas the black guy is refered to as a looter, and the white couple is refered to as finders.

Why the pic of the guy with the beer ended up in this thread, beats me.........

Well maybe they couldn't find the Spa blue so fast in the flooded store, so they went for another non alcoholic liquid they would need to stay hydrated.

Soda makes more sense then 20 bottles of beer in my mind.

Taking a better look clearly shows both pics&comments are from different publishers (namely AP and AFP).

Of course bothe editors might be racist, but it's just as likely both are not.

Accusing someone of racism should not be done so lightly, my dear CFC friends!
