great game, but one thing i was hopeing whold be fixed but isint....

ther is No desive battels.....

i got a stack of units that gose into a city assult, i lose every singel unit in the atack... No problem...

becus in 3-4 turns, i got evert unit ther replaced.....
y o y are ther no major desive battels... u know the kind whear if u lose that its more or less the end for u... and every thing gose down hill.....
i want a battel of stalingrad type event :(

the problem i think is that time is sped up to the point that not only do you get a new army in just a few turns but you dont have the ability to command your units at a lower time scale to, say move units from city to city in a matter of weeks as opposed to a matter of years(as it stands in civ games
)

thats probly it... yea i didnt think of it like that.. but i still wish thear whear desisive battels

well... i would imagine you could mod it in by increasing the movement speed of all units by a lot, and increasing the hammer cost of all the units by a lot more so your military is pretty much you or them at the end of a major battle, but of course that would slow down the beginning of the game where you have to build up your military

I modded CivIII once to increase the movement speed of almost all of the units. It lead to some very fast paced battles, without having to increase production cost or anything. I'm not sure if I'd call them decisive though. I'm sure you can mod the game to make the later units cost more without touching the ancient ones. Then again, if you want decisive battles like Stalingrad, perhaps making a Stalingrad scenario is the best way to go, with increased movement speed and production costs thrown in there for balance.

the production costs i suggested adds the decisiveness to it by making every unit count

also you have to remember that for the most part in our times wars werent fights to the death in civilizations terms, for the most part the loser either gives up, or is occupied for a certain amount of time and left to their own, for example germany, italy, japan, iraq(hopefully, i may be anti war but razing everything is not the answere to a quick end in my opinion)

making fun of her(?) is totally uncalled for - she appologizes for spelling in her signature, though I don't think it's due to her being autistic, I think the proper term is dyslexia...

im guy, the pic is of a friend that died and never took down.

allso some of my misspelings is me hiting wrong keys, and not noticeing tell i alrady post.. other words, probly desisive i just cant spell.... i try my beast *sp, i know its spelt wrong but not sure hot to spell it* but meh

any way it dosent have to be one battel, but maby a number of battels, like 3 or 4 Big ones, that make up a desisive victory or defeat. or it chold be 1 battel.

like the battel of stalingrad, or the one near babalonia between alexander and darus *sp* if it was like civ, darus chold have just rebuilt a new army very quickly

you would not beleave how many times i have to deal with people like dearmad. they are the lowest form of human

i too have spelling problems, only mine are brought on by dyslexia for the most part

im reminded of megamek... an online game based on the battle tech board game where you choose where your shots go then the damage is determined all at once at the end of the turn
