there is only one nuclear missile!!!!!!!

today's war is not made with that kind of missile!!!!!

and no other one!!!!!

On behalf of Civilization IV, I would like to officially appologize.

we could have missiles witch are not nuclear....

so no problem with the UN decret!!!

and new tactical strategys!!!!

<hint>
I believe Dale(or other modder) did make already this kind of missile...No?

aircrafts are obligatory linked to bases...
aircrafs could be shot... not the missiles...

in reality an aircraft is not a missile!!!!!!!

strategys:
strategic bombing (only choosen buildings, units)
and international treath!!! (for long range missile)

a precision missile would be nice for targeting enemy buildings especially the factories in their major cities during war time.

aircrafts are obligatory linked to bases...

Aircraft can be rebased to other cities and, in the case of fighters, to aircraft carriers.

aircrafs could be shot... not the missiles...

Missiles can be shot down by the SDI (more easily than an aircraft). Currently it's only for nuclear missiles but I don't see a reason why missile defences wouldn't be added. It is unlikely that a unit with no counter would be included in the game.

strategic bombing (only choosen buildings, units)

If this both undermines the paper/rock/scissors combat system and is implemented without the AI being able to use it adequately (as occured in previous versions of civ) then I would be opposed to it.

Like the UN nuclear ban which you used as a reason for including missiles other than ICBMS.

I know I'm being very pedantic here but I don't see a reason to add any unit if it won't bring anything new to the game (which the AI can also make use of). One of the reasons that I prefer the CivIV combat system is the simplification of units so that redundant units (such as much of the CivIII late game naval units and the strategic nuclear missile) are not included.

Like the old Cruise Missiles we had in Civ3. Loved those things for taking out transports trying to land an army on my lands.

Cheap to produce and always hit. Only that helped was the missile defense the cities could construct.

I think that is what the OP is looking for.

as i know SDI system is only for ICBM no????? so....

and the AI must be more intelligent to use locked-on- missile-target

as i know SDI system is only for ICBM no????? so....

The point was that all units have counters. Missiles would not be included without a counter to them being included as well.

It would not bog down the game? That is probably the stupidest rationale I have ever heard. They guy is right, all you can acquire is ICBM's, which is highly unrealistic, there should be many other types of missiles that can be used and dont have to spark such international disapproval.

non-nuclear missles are a big part of warfare so missing them out was a mistake, i think that a tactical nuke should be added (cheaper to make and so would be faster 2 make) and some sort of cruise missile
