Oooh, Easter Egg!

I assume "Run Away" when you attack loki is from MP. I only wish he said it twice, "Run away, run away!"

OT - my email notification says "Jesus Christ" from right after the rabbit beheads the first knight. Send me email! I love hearing it. ;)

A quiz to see how well you really know FfH. Good luck! (no cheating!)

**raises hand and begins jumping up and down emphatically**
Oh, Oh, Mr. Kael, Mr.Kael! Pick me, I love a good quiz!

1. Why does Lugus hate vampires? Because they bite... er, no, because they suck, yeah, thats it.

2. Who killed Einions wife? Einion had a wife? I thought Einion was a chick...

3. Who is the Momus? Shouldn't the question be who's your Daddus?

4. What is the rarest summon (only one UU national unit can summon it)? Demon, I think, only the infernals can summon it, right?

5. What was the unit art of the trojan horse in early version of FfH1? My guess would be the Trojan Rabbit, or a giant wooden badger.

6. Which civilizations workers can cast fireball in the right situation? Uh Luichurp, I think. I know they get all the kewl Golems, and I am pretty sure the worker that casts fireballs is a Golem worker, so I am going with Luichurp.

7. What are the 4 Monty Python audio samples in the mod? Of course there is the Malevolent Designs sample, also the Inquisitor sample. I don't recall any others, but there should definately be one on the Belsaraph catapult.

8. Which objects pedia entry is: "Now available with underbody neon lighting, spinner rims and a spring loaded carbon brush suspension that allows you to "bounce" each wheel individually or together. Perfect for a night of pimping or out killing those heathen Doviello. (warenty does not cover fireball damage)."? Ack, it is a chariot unit, I know that much...

9. Who did Kyorlin kill? Buckwheat.

10. What object in FfH is named after a website?
I would have said Octopus Overlords, but that really isn't an object...

And 2 no one will know so you will need to guess:

1. FfH2 is loosely based on a D&D campaign, which of these characters was a player character in that campaign?

a. Cassiel
b. Jonus Endain
c. Orthus
d. Perpentach
e. Yvain the Wood Elf

2. What is Kael's job in real life?

a. Animal Gynocologist
b. Computer Problem Fixer
c. Member of a door to door adult cinema acting troupe
d. Retired Naval Officer now turned Traveling Lecturer
e. Swat Team Sniper

{Dammit, I suck at quizzes}

I'm goin witheven if Kael did claim. What is Kael's job in real life?

a. Animal Gynocologist
b. Computer Problem Fixer
c. Member of a door to door adult cinema acting troupe
d. Retired Naval Officer now turned Traveling Lecturer
e. Swat Team Sniper
don't ask how I deduced this.........I know but the world.........Damn video game mentallity just warped me while writing this. :Is there really much difference between c&d......you did thaat on purpose Kael.....I just know it!

Has anyone noticed the funky city names? My personal favourite is Bastradam, although Argenteria comes in at a close second

[tab]Here is an update with the ones you guys have so far:

1. Why does Lugus hate vampires?

No one has gotten this yet.

2. Who killed Einions wife?

Nikis-Knight was mostly correct with Valledia, although she just ordered the death. The guy that actually did the act was Sammuel.

3. Who is the Momus?

No one has gotten this yet.

4. What is the rarest summon (only one UU national unit can summon it)?

No one has gotten this yet.

5. What was the unit art of the trojan horse in early version of FfH1?

As you guys said it was a Tank. You can imagine the surprise of early players when they saw a tank roll up beside one of their cities (ignoring rival territory no less).

6. Which civilizations workers can cast fireball in the right situation?

Yeap. the Luchuirps Mud Golem can cast fireball if the city they are built in has a Blasting Workshop.

7. What are the 4 Monty Python audio samples in the mod?

They have all been named: Inquisition, Malevolent Designs, the Balseraph catapult attack sound and Loki's run away sound.

Yeah, it is a chariot, specifically the Malakim Chariot. SeZereth made such a cool skin for it that I couldn't help thinking of it as a pimped out chariot.

9. Who did Kyorlin kill?

No one has gotten this yet.

10. What object in FfH is named after a website?

"Object" may have been misleading (from the programming side everything is an object) but the answer as people have said is the Octopus Overlords religion.

[tab]And 2 no one will know so you will need to guess:

1. FfH2 is loosely based on a D&D campaign, which of these characters was a player character in that campaign?

[tab]a. Cassiel
[tab]b. Jonus Endain
[tab]c. Orthus
[tab]d. Perpentach
[tab]e. Yvain the Wood Elf

The answer to this is actually Orthus! I wanted to base a campaign (I ran a few) on the casting of the Armageddon spells and the gradual coming of the end times. Because of what was going on in the world (humanity on the brink of extinction, cities being wiped out, monsters roaming the land unhindered) it would have limited the players options to cast them as humans. They would have been drawn into the conflict on one side or the other and pushed along without much of a chance to chart their own course.

So instead I cast them all as monsters. Orthus was an ogre, there was also a troll, a hobgoblin hunter, and a goblin that knew a few spells. As monsters they got to view the unfolding events from the outside and do what they wanted. Sometimes they helped people out, sometimes they stole from or attacked their settlements.

The story gets really complex after that but the short answer is that Orthus is the only character in that list (there are several more in the mod) that is based on a player character. Cassiel and Jonus were both NPC's in the game, Yvain was named for Woodelf and Perpentach was created for the mod.

2. What is Kael's job in real life?

[tab]a. Animal Gynocologist
[tab]b. Computer Problem Fixer
[tab]c. Member of a door to door adult cinema acting troupe
[tab]d. Retired Naval Officer now turned Traveling Lecturer
[tab]e. Swat Team Sniper

Very good memory to those that remembered that I said im a member of an adult cinema acting troupe. Unfortunatly it was a lie and of the 5 options none of the interesting ones are my real job. I fix computer problems.

4. The kraken?? If not, it must be something the soul eater or witchdocter summons

You've actually told us these before.

Both c.

Well you only said the second one, but you also said that None of the leaders except that Sheaim one were played, and the Woodelf is named after a designer, so its pretty obviously Orthus.

1. Why does Lugus hate vampires?

Lugus hates vampires because the first victim of the first vampire, Alexis i think is her name, was a Lugus´ priest.

Yeap, Alexis was the one doing the killing. Lanthis was the name of the priest of Lugus that became the vampires first victim, back early in the Age of Dragons. It was like the 6th generation of men, so it was early on.

4. Must be the Balor, only Mardero can summon him

Nope, any summoner can summon the balor with the right promotions.

The sad part is that only one unit can summon this creature and its a custom model by Chalid, so its really neat art, but not many people have seen it.

This cracked me up!

Kael - I wish I had known you when I was playing D&D! Our Dungeon Master had no where near as much imagination.

Momus is Perpentach a.k.a. Laughing Man. BTW does momus mean anything in english?

Sorta, its the name of one of the really obscure greek gods (the god of mockery). In the game I used it as a title, the Momus.

Deathling just caught an error that the Hippus weren't able to make the hippus summoner. The Air Elemental was the answer to the rarest summon (it can only be summoned by the Hippus Summoner) but since the summoner wasn't checked in correctly it was impossible to build. It will be fixed in the next version, no wonder no one knew the answer to that question.

Doesn't get much rarer than that...
