2mvt is not horrible... remember that they won't be able to get commando.
so 2mvt in ennemy land is 2mvt.
other "living" units get at least 3 mvt (base + mobility + haste)... and leveled up units or raider ones can get get easily a *3 multiplier on that.
so don't fear an "hyper mobile golem invasion"...
further the "no-xp for golem" is already a good counter to their OP ness....
(or you could make that fireballing and mobility are two opposite promotions... like crews for boats).
thus you'll get either a fireballing golem army OR a "fast" (er- "not-as-sluggish") golem army... but not a "not-so-slow-fireballing golem army"...)
