Opening music in Civ1

I think I just figured this out. Isn't the opening music for Civ1 based on Aaron Copland's Fanfare for the Common Man? The beginning lines are so similar.

Anyone else think this is true?

I only know that the death/loose sequence and the win sequence are from Beethove. Ode to joy and funeral march...

I don't think it's true. You might as well say that all fanfares sound like Copeland's fanfare because most fanfares use 5ths. The three starting notes may be similar, but what then after that? I don't think you get "based on" from three notes! Best enjoy them both for being what they are.
