Operation Overlord

Yep, same problem for me here.
Apparently the game has started and I have no idea of the rooster.

I want my D*** planning phase mail ! ;-)

I apologise for the delay on the planning phase mail, I forgot. Anyways...hotmail server is too busy, so I will have to send it later. I will get to it before the end of 10/9/04.

Played and sent to Spain, who i trust will be joining me and Italy soon.

Germany took a couple of cities in the Yugoslavia/Romania area, can't remember names.

We took Brussels and Amsterdam from the Dutch.

We smashed through the puny Maignot line killing nearly all the infantry, took Strasbourg, killed the infantry and tank outside the city and killed another infantry near Paris. We lost some Panzers of course.

To the BEF: Go home!

Two submarines destroyed two french battleships in the mediterranean.
We lost one submarine to a British battleship between Norway and the UK.

Longest PBEM turn i have ever played.

 Not me, mine was turn 1 of the CFC vs Apolyton WWII Pacific challenge (and yes, I have played the Germans in this scenario).

In spite of the great leader of Spain, Francisco Franco, has being persuade to join the war, I decide that, for now, we claim neutrality!

We are focus on mantain internal order, special around Madrid, where we smashed the last republican spanish forces some few months ago, and no time for other issues!

I had now assumed a presidency and I am commitment with the task of rebuilding a country.

The figures are: Over 200.000 had fallen victim to the spanish civil war, a number including both those fallen in battle and those executed on both sides, suspected of supporting the other side. Another half million had fled Spain.

Thousands of those who had supported the spanish pigs republic were incarcerated in LABOUR CAMPS (from where many wont return). I cancelled also the autonomy of Catalonia and of the Basque Country, and for now on publications in Catalan language are forbidden. I also reshaped the FALANGIST party, incorporating other political elements such as the Carlists, and now i am known as the CAUDILLO (leader).
My Falangists wore blue shirts (following the itally trends fashion - Faschists and Germany's Nazis).

I predict the future will be a form of nationalistic, militaristic totalitarianism known by its Italian name, fascism. I presented myself as the one who sure defense against the spread of communism.

In spite of all that, It will pleasure me alot to see the bulls rodeos in all capitals, like Berlin or Rome, or even London or Paris... So pherhaps one day we will think of culturize someone outthere...
:p

Italy is a peaceful country when facing strong powers (less so in Albania or Ethiopia !). So it is with great dismay we saw French bombardments killing our wives, children and civilian workers in the fields.

We could not stand and do nothing so in reprisal we sunk a French CA and a French cruiser. We hope that show will be enough so that French go home and let us digest Albania in peace.

We congratulate the Caudillo on his deeds and eforts to preserve, maintain and develop his country.

We sure would welcome touring corridas around Italy.
In-between we propose to help developping your economy and miliary.

The English are proud to announce that we have been making significant gains all around the world. These are our battle reports for this month.

Germany:
Sank a sub near Halifax.
Sank a sub near Scapa Flow.
Bombed some roads near Stavanger.
Sank a destroyer near Bergen.
Captured a Germany artillery near Amsterdam.
Killed two infantry near Amsterdam.
Destroyed a tank near Kavak.

Italy:
Bombed roads near Tirana.

The battle for France has gone up a notch, with German Panzers 'blitz'ing into French soverign territories.

Germany:

Bombed Paratroopers out of the French Resistance
Bombed tank out of Tito's HQ
Bombed Inf. out of Norwegian resistance

Italy:
Bombed road connecting Iron near Milan
Bombed RR connecting Wines near Florence

@ Sega Fanatic: you only have to state the bombing damage, it is up to your opponent to figure out from whence it came.

From the USSR: Some Swedish citizens came to their senses and decided to join the Great Cause. They will be helping to build roads and railroads in the near future. It is with some confusion that we noticed that the Axis powers are at war with the Swedes, but that is their problem. Meanwhile, the Great Soviet Nation will continue to expand its influence and soon you will all bow down before m...er...umm....soon you will all enjoy the benefits of the proletariat government and...ummm....

Killed One British Cruiser north of Scotland, and one destroyed in Atlantic.
Destroyed the majority of the BEF.
3 french infantry and 2 riflemen killed.
One british tank near Greece destroyed.
We also captured Narvik and autorazed the French resistance. Didn't get much chance to resist did you? :D

We expect that our 'gift' to Spain brings them in on our side.

@ Sega : I mean destroying improvements means killing the people working there (real people, not Civ3 worker units !).

@ Oblivion : fells good, I will drink a German beer to that ! :-)

I am right now in a bull ring... watch the bulls corridas... Olé!
I am not in the mood of war... right now... please all leaders understand that Caudillo will make his move, when the time will come... or pherhaps... the only move is sit and watch the Bull rodeos... who knows... but by now... spain has more to think off..
And of course we wont allowed any interference in our internal affairs... we reserve the right to answer heavly to any agression or spain soil violation!

The Italians are getting angry at the wild and purely destructive French style of warfare.
In retaliation we sunk a DD near Corsica and bombarded their planes and hips hiding there.

BTW Yamamoto, my e-mails to you bounce back...

This was a quiet month for the British. With most of the BEF destroyed we had to pull our forces back. We only hope they inflicted enough damage on the Germans to slow their advance into France. We were however, successful in destroying one of the Germans supply of oil outside Trondheim. We also destroyed some roads in Turkey. But perhaps our major accomplishment this month was the capture of Tubruq. We are confident that the battles down there, while small in nature, will divert enough Italian forces away from France and allow our ally there to hang on a little longer.

France has continued its defensive actions, in response to the slash and burn tactics of the evil German invaders and the build-up of offensive units on our south eastern border by Italy. Roads were bombed, tanks were bombed, all with the hope of slowing down the brutal raping of French soil. Viva le France! (hope I got that right)

@ Yamamoto : got your mail, replied, and got your mail saying you did get my mails. Guess that means language frontiers between Spanish and Italian are no more. :-)

Mostly a healing turn.
Disconnected French Iron and Saltpeter.
Battleship and another escort (the one covering the lone transport) sunk by Submarines in the Atlantic. Not that many escorts to go before i hit the transports
Dam, why couldn't the French have built a better road network!

I did not believe it was THAT big !
(Mussolini about the size of the English navy in the Med, of course !).

Destroyed a bomber on the tarmac in Corsica but also lost a bomber there.
Took Ragusa (Venitian troops were of course given the privilege of entering the city first). Also killed 2 Ducth riflemen visiting Montenegro.
Some more bombardment (Corsica and Malta especially).
