So i wanted to know about Vox Populi that i dont know which difficulty should i play altough im quite mod veteran
Whnenver i play this mod i feel that the A.I. is handicapped in all aspects so i feel kinda cheated.
yes, i admit that the ai is need a bit handicap but i want to keep it minimal for fair and realistic level of gameplay while keeping the ai is same warmonger as before
so which difficulty should i play.
Ty.

The question is, which difficulty did you play in Vanilla Civ 5? If you have an answer to it, reduce your level by 1 or 2 and then you should have a good starting point.

If you are a peaceful player, king difficulty is kinda the last difficulty you dont get frustrated by unrealistic high output of AI. Playing aggresiv as warmonger, you may start with Empereror to play competitive.

!!Play at your typical Vanilla level minus 2 for your first game!!
!!Play 1 level lower if you don't like the civ, or is one you deem weak!!
!!Play 1 level higher if you like the civ, or is a powerful one!!
!!Play at one level you still lose/give up on the game sometime!!

AI, no matter how smart its scripts are, lacks long term deep thinking. So it needs handicaps to stay competitive.

What we are working currently at is in modifying AI handicaps progression so they come unadvertedly. If done well, you won't notice that the AI is cheating.

Most experienced in strategy players can do well in King, standard speed. If you are new to the mod, try Prince. If you are new to civ series, play Chieftain. If you are beaten badly, downgrade difficulty until you can win with ease. I win easily in King, so I now play in Emperor, where sometimes I win, most times I lose.

Oh, and remember to modify current AI handicaps, they are a bit out of whack right now. They are found at Balance Changes/Difficulty/DifficultyMod.xml
I suggest iHandicapA = 50, iHandicapB = -100, iHandicapC = 300
Those are not right, by I think them better than current ones.

Thinking that removing AI bonuses will make the game "fair" is wrong. Humans will always be superior in long term planning as others have explained above. The AI bonuses are there to offset YOUR unfair advantage. The great thing about VP is that these AI bonuses are evenly spread throughout the game, so you won't probably notice them - unlike in vanilla Civ5, when the AIs get a ton of bonuses in the very beginning and then you need to catch up (and once you surpass them, they don't stand a chance).

Thank you for your suggestions. i dont like vanilla civ altought beat vanilla civ culurally with poland at prince. my problem is i never finished the game (mod) before (first reason constant updates second reason i play the "mod" periodical that i may give up playing) but that doesnt mean i fall behind or surpassed them. now playing on prince and the mod is really great. i just wanted to play a sandbox game where player-ai competition and ai-ai competition is at highest and no civ ever fall to behing or again surpassed unlogically.
So yeah i guess you all right about handicapping and playing around late eras, game will find its own pace.
