I had a problem not long ago and thought for some obscurs reasons that IChat was the cause. So I deleted everything that was related to it... and found out that it was not the source of the problem...

Anyway, I'm actually trying to reinstall IChat without reinstalling the hole system and I just can't find it on my Panther cds... does someone knows how to do it?

THX

There are some utilities for extracting pieces of an installer package. One's called Pacifist. I've never used them myself, so I can't say if it would work. Is reinstalling Panther such a big deal? I suspect if you choose the right option it may only reinstall the bits that are missing.

Do Software Restore.Get the Software CDs 1 and 2 out and chose i guess Applications or something like that.

You should be able to just download iChat from http://www.apple.com/ichat/ -- I'm pretty sure they've got the latest version there! ;)

EDIT: Drat, it's not there anymore! Sounds like you'll have to do the Software Restore like previously suggested.

Did Software Restore work? If it did glad i could help someone out. First Time helping someone. [civ3mac]

Nope software restore is not the solution for me cause making my bakup would far to hard and I can't take a chance cause I'm working on an important movie project.

I'll try AlanH solution and come back...

Thanks for the suggestions...
