Palace and Forbidden Palace

I second Gregski's request.
I assume the FP also doubles the OCN? If it only reduces corruption (and waste, probably?) in one city then it's a waste of shields IMO.

Announcer: Will Mr Newton please vacate the premises!
(Another reason to use him on ST ASAP).

Concerning the palace move: I would really like to use the first GL on a knight or cavalry army. Other than that, I am neutral about palace moves: don't like it for sentimental reasons, almost never do it, but can see the benefits.

It's more like increasing the OCN by 37.5%. It also reduces the corruption in its city to 20% (0% with a courthouse and police station). It serves as a second center for distance corruption (not rank corruption like vanilla/PTW), but this doesn't cause significant lowered corruption to nearby cities (rank corruption is usually more significant).

Wow! That's new information for me. So the Rank comes directly from the Palace?
I didn't think rank was included in the corruption calculation for C3C. :hmm:

I think I need to do some reading.

This is all discussed in great detail, in the C3C forum thread about patch 1.22. There may also be threads dedicated to the new corruption model.

I have noticed that former original AI capitols have unexpectedly low corruption after being captured. I think that's an effect of the "rank" corruption which is maybe really "which is built first" ending up dominating the distance corruption -- but do not have any data to back up this wild speculation. ;)

Rank corruption has to do with the scale of corruption if there are cities closer to a palace. So FP is a palace technically but it cannot be moved like a palace. If done right, the corruption can be put to a minimum when the FP and Palace is placed correctly.

I remember that film! :D
What was it called? It's on the tip of my tongue...

Can't remember the name, it's on the tip of mine too, it was a Danny Kaye one, I do remember that.

Court Jester or something like that?

Like Ashburnham I am against moving our capital and I don't think I could word the argument any better

Lawyers. ugh! I bet if I paid you 50 quid an hour moving the palace would be the best idea in the world. ;)

I beleve we should move the palace. At least it will help with Culture and Corruption.

The palace and FP should both go where there's hills and mountains -- along that mountain range would be good. These are the only cities (aside from the one with the SPHQ should we go communist) that will get 0 corruption.
