Being anti-zionist is by no means being anti-semitic. To say people do not have the right to take a land, and uphold racist policies within it by fiat against an ethnic majority or minority, to systematically eradicate villages, to bomb a people into submission, to say these things is not racist. When we say, the zionists do not have the right to do such things, the same would hold true for any ethnic group, any bureacracy, and any power structure.

"We are unable to favour this Zionist movement. We cannot prevent the Jews from going to Jerusalem, but we could never sanction it. The ground of Jerusalem, if it were not always sacred, has been sanctified by the life of Jesus Christ. As the head of the Church, I cannot answer you otherwise. The Jews have not recognized Our Lord; therefore, we cannot recognize the Jewish people.... "
What does recognizing jesus have to do with the right to settle somewhere?

First of all..there was never a country of "Palestine". Secondly, a virtual ton of jews also lived in the region, and have lived there for centuries, its not like they ALL moved there in the 1950s. Third, the Palestinians are the Irish of the middle East....no one wants them in their country as the are just too much trouble to deal with. One of the reasons they all congregate in Isreal, is they actually get treated better there then they do in Syria, Jordan, Egypt and Lebanon.

Very true most of the moved into Palestine post late 19th century(numbered about 5% in 1890, moved in against edicts of the Ottermans and British)They were about a third of the population existing in disparate groups throughout the region when the deicsions were made;they were given a country it was unfair to Palestinians and indeed their opposition wasn't taken into account, but the postion of the UN is understandable given the atrocities of the second world war.

The current situation is a result of actions on both sides and I fail to see the need for outside influences to hate either side, they are both culpable, to what extent is of course up to you to decide, me I'll remain impartial, I find no need to hate either the Israelis or Palestinians, or to condemn in any way in a holistic sense, idividual actions of both, now that's a different story.

Chinese labourers in Israel even had to agree to give up sex as part of their contract so as not to pollute Israeli bloodlines....
(They also had to give up any right to expression of religious or political beliefs)

Can anyone imagine the USA passing a law prohibiting Mexican labourers from mixing with White Americans, or preventing them from going to religious services, or arresting them for gathering in the streets to protest political issues?! Under threat of deportation at their own expense?!:crazyeye:
