He can only take it if he's in Osaka. His power is solely a give away power.
Now if G1K were to end in Hong Kong or Osaka, he could take one of those cards.
Bc one of you could go there and give it to him.
Don't worry. This game is much more difficult to communicate just because it's over forum. You all are doing great - better than some players I've taught IRL.
Believe it or not, you're doing pretty solid right now.

In MJ's shoes I would discard Lima, I think we are better positioned for a red cure and there are plenty of yellow cards out there

I do something about whatever disaster is about to fall.
G1K flies to Osaka on the Baghdad card, grabs the Osaka card, goes to Hong Kong
Marcher goes to Hong Kong and delivers red card if needed-card transfer black to Marcher and cure
Syn goes to a good spot in yellow land.
I go to Hong Kong and give Marcher blue cards
G1K cures red and starts vacuuming cubes before we lose
Marcher cures Blue and beats feet to yellow land
we all get yellow cards to Marcher
Marcher cures yellow and we win on Marcher's third turn from now...is this a viable time line?

As long as it doesn't burn enough to meet a loss condition I'm fine with it. Like if the blood flood exterminates Australia but we don't run out of red cubes that's basically fine.

Osaka is a two leg drive so you'll be too tired for disease treating, but that's okay. Just don't drown.
