patch 161 will not work,

Hi all

I'v just downloaded all versions of patch 161 and I get the same error msgs:

Tag: TECH_COMMUNISM in info class wa incorrect. this shows up twice in a row.

And, Tag: LEADER_MAO_ZEDONG in info class was incorrect.

And, Tag:BUILDINGCLASS_FORBIDDEN_PALACE in info calss was incorrect.

And, Tag: BUILDINGCALSS_THERRGORGESDAM in info class was incorrect.

I'v uninstalled civ IV and reinstalled twice. I'v tried direct2 download this dose not work. I took out all of the extras like my custom assets ect. to use the base download from my cd to upgrade from. The game will not run.

Can anyone help me solve this problem? Thanks

are you download the 1.51 to 1.61
or just 1.00 to 1.61

You have to get rid of all your ver 1.52 mods. Delete or rename your "My Documents\My Games\Sid Mier's Civilization 4" folder. You need to get 1.61 compatible versions of any mods you want to use. (Doing a clean install of 1.00 and patching using 1.61 patch might help if your install folder is messed up.)
