Patch question

I have PTW and have 2 questions about the patches.

1. May seem dumb but, how do you know what version of PTW you have? On th start screen, it says 1.01f on the bottom, is that it?

2. Do I only have to patch PTW or do I have to do Civ3 also?

1. yes.

2. PTW comes with all (or atleast most) of the Civ3 1.29 changes.

That's where it is!

You only have to patch PTW, if that is all you are playing. Civ3 is a separate executable file, and is actually independent of PTW.
