Pathetic Patch Problems

Alrighty, so I download the version 1.29 patch for Vanilla from here, and when I double click it, it goes through all the installsheild wizard crap, but then, it asks me if I want to uninstall all components!

I click no, obviously, but it closes the setup. But if I click yes, it starts uninstalling CIV! Is this a common problem, or am I doing something wrong?

Maybe your version of Civ3 already has patch version 1.29f?

When you start the game, the main menu screen has the patch version in the lower-left corner. If its 1.29f, then you don't need to install a patch.

Nah, it's 1.07.

Alrihgt, I found the problem. I had previously installed the 1.29 patch. Then, I uninstalled Civ 3, but it must not have uninstalled 1.29.

So, after running the 'uninstall,' I ran it again and it 'installed.' Of course, now I'm getting the seemingly notorious No CD error. I hope I don't have to play unpatched...
