PBEM Game Concept -- Tag Teams

Lt. 'Killer' M. said in post #35:
PLEASE: everyone load from multiplayer screen foirst time and choose difficulty as regent before you do. Otherwise, the game goes chieftain :(

Right, I have the game, but I've a small problem. I do not know how to use Melifluous' workaround for the PBEM difficulty bug. Yes, I've read his thread.

I guess what would be most helpful to me is a step-by-step procedure. Someone, preferably Melifluous, must type out this procedure assuming that the reader is a total newbie to Civ3: PTW. I thought I understood the Multiplayer UI in PTW, but I guess I have more to learn. :(

Don't bother to tell me how to handle the gamefile after turn 1; I've played other PBEMs.

Myz:

1) start PTW
2) select multiplayer
3) select location so local games is shown underneath
4) select host
5) game type: select PBEM
6) difficulty: select the diff you want (wasn't it REGENT here?)
7) game mode: select 'Load game'
8) select the sav you got
9) select launch
10) play normally

;)

I may have mixed game type and game mode, always select PBEM, then difficulty, then load the game ;)

Thanks much, Killer.

Game has been sent to Isildurs Heir.

I hate to send games this way because people don't always check these boards. However, I don't have Reagen's e-mail. Also, you don't want people to send you an e-mail thru this board so this is the only way to pass the game along. Send me your e-mail so I can send the turns directly to you in the future.

My e-mail is in a previous post in this thread. Anyway, it's civfanreagan[AT]hotmail.com.

The game is played, zipped, and e-mailed to Killer for turn #2.

Athens has been built.

Game sent to Isildurs Heir.

Ummmm . . . my math skills may be a bit fuzzy, but aren't we on pace to complete this game sometime in 2010?

If this is okay with everyone, we could schedule a date when everyone is free, and do this PBEM for six straight hours. We could complete three or four turns in six hours if all of us were available, don't you guys think it so?

I could do this for certain on Fridays and Sundays (GMT -5).

That would not work for me Myzenium :(

Reasons: School, homework, baseball, 2 other brothers that would need to use computer :(
