Thanks for the info Andis-1. After this brief take over of Austria-Hungary, I propose Germany takes over AH on a permanent basis. If Drendor does not mind, off course.

Austria-Hungary:
Bombarded troops NW of Venice, followed by an attack, resulting the kill of the Tirol Fortress, losing 1 A Infantry.
Killed Infantry NE of Tirana.
Bombarded troops near Sarajevo.
Bombarded Ragusa.

Ottoman:
Destroyed improvements W of Dede-Agach.
Destroyed a mine E of Athens, blocking the harbor.

Send save to Andis-1. Thanks for playing.

What terrain was the Tirol fortress based on? Must have been some heavy bombardment if you managed to take out a high defense unit in a fort on a mountain.....:mischief:

battle report:

Italy:
cities of venice and antivari were bombed, units took the hits.

Russia:
Offensive towards city of crajova was success. City was captured for the loss of two flamethrowers.

It was nice to be playing with you guys. Oh btw, I reserve myself the right to take austria again if this game is still going after the summer ;)

It was 'only' on a hill. :D

Thanks andis. A pity you couldn't continue. We've had some problems with this game, and now we need another player.
But I think you can get it back, because this isn't the quickest game! :p (although it's a challenging and good one)
Redman of Italy

Usual bombardements of the Belgium coast produces less results than expected.

Can't wait to get my hands on the next turn!!! :D

GPS to the evil German.

.

Gah!!!

I learned today that you can examine enemy cities if you have a spy among them. If only I had known this earlier....... (Verdun anyone? )

The turn:

Our destroyer sunk english sub in the north sea

We cleared a russian mine outside Riga

We killed 1 russian inf and 3 cossacks near Memel

We killed a russian cossack outside Lodz

We bombarded the french and the british coast, our zeppelin later killed a redlined british garrison

We bombarded Verdun and managed to kill som citizens!
If we cant take the city at least we will make your people suffer :crazyeye:

French inf killed west of Brussels
2 french inf killed north of Verdun.

Turn sent to the glorious Ottomans!

During German turn I paid over 3 k gold to steal techs from my enemy.

I got a msg saying that the enemy had no advances to steal. I still lost the 3000 gold. Very annoying.

How do one know if enemy has techs to steal or not?

A total of 38 Inf Divisions, 22 Seige Guns, 4 210m Guns 7 Arty, 2 Armies, 2 MGBs, and 4 AC units are near Verdun and Nancy.

These units were targeted by French Arty Fire and some units were injured.

-Near Bensacor; 3 German Infantry Divisions were KIA with no Fr losses.

-Ottoman SS Sunk by French Naval Forces

Any french armies involved in the attacks on my 3 (redlined I suppose) infantry units?

No Armies involved near Bensacor. Arty and Infantry attacks. I believed we left one Inf Division alive (but redlined) as an act of mercy. That way they could explain what happened to the Kaiser!

I will play Austria until andis is back from Holiday.

Redman: You can send save to the same adress as in fabius pbem

OK, thanks Drendor.
I've had troubles with internet at home, so I'll send it from my work (tried hotmail but failed also). I'll hope I can fix it soon.

GPS turn 9 > Drendor II

Italy, week 40 1914.

Austria-Hungary:
Bombarded troops near Sarajevo.
Killed troops (A Infantry I think) SW of Szeged.
We noticed the A-H empire had some victories in the east past weeks. We will watch the eastfront carefully.

Ottoman:
Destroyed improvements NE of Dede-Agach and bombarded units in the city hurting them.

gps-----> Luthor

We bombarded Romania inf west of Crajova and attacked with flamethrower.
Our veteran flamethrower lost to the redlined infantry:mad:

Our army "Conrad" kills the brave defender though...

7 arty position themselves in the newly conquered trench and redline the Italian army in the hills.
Army "Conrad" wipes it out! :goodjob:

We killed a russian cav north of Lemberg

We killed russian inf and retreated cavs south of Lodz

The Austrian-Hungary armies can only load two (2) units! Why?
Both Italy and Russia can load three units into theirs and I cant see historically that the armies of Austria were inferior to neither of Russia or Italy.
