.....this game seems to be up and running now, but it is still my first PBEM game. Which one of you guys can I contact as I have a ton of questions regarding contacts, trading, declarations of war/peace, game etiquette etc.

Otherwise ask away. Rules are of our choosing. Some are just etiquette as it were. Some will declare war well in advance of an attack some will not. Generally exploiting ROP for an attack is bad form.

Spoiler Lurkers only :

No settler yet, but I do have 2 workers. Pottery is next. I should have a 4-turner up and running at some point. When I do start getting settlers, cities will go in these general spots and hopefully I can control the south jungle as best as can be done before the Industrial Age. I may even be able to build cities on the other side of the jungle before in the middle.
