Pbm

I am of course interested and can do it.

PS: it would really be the minimum level of politeness for people who don't want to continue to at least take 1 minute to write it in this post...

Hey hey, i sent the game (turn 10) on 3rd June. Havent read this thread since then. Resent now to onedreamer.
Please check this thread, then. Unless we decide that recipients of a turn must immediately respond by email saying they received it, this thread is the only way to make sure that happened.

I always replied on email after playing, except the turn wolfman sent me on the 3rd, which I played late on the 4th, it was 1 am and I forgot to send GPS. So in short... I have already played that turn Wolfman. I haven't received any GPS from the next player though (Daladinn).

*pets Wolfie*

Is Daladinn MIA again?

I personally prefer 0.21 to 0.22 >_>

Age of Ice is single player.

*resists temptation to say "I told you so"* :P

What did you tell us?

Hmm, different thread it seems. *shrug*

I'd like to play in a PBEM game - in fact I started a different thread about it without realizing there was one here :O

That as, assuming the participants can commit to it/are willing to post when they quit if they do.

I am willing to commit to a PBEM again. However, after experience with this game, I'm thinking few players with a bunch of AI would be best.

Aside: It is unfortunately that Civ doesn't have a setting for PBEM games where each player gets to play the first X turns right away (X determined by the closest distance between two civs).

with BtS you can have an advanced start.
We only played a bunch of turns in this one, so there wasn't much experience to be done, except for the confirmation that the hardest part in a pbem is finding a group of committed players that won't drop after 10 turns...

The slowness of the start (load, move one unit, hit enter, save, close, email...) is the problem - advanced starts will almost certainly make PBEM far more viable (once the costs are balanced out anyhow - I wouldn't hold my breath for that in the first BtS version of FfH).

btw there are some mods/scenarios in BtS that are quite suitable for PBEMs/multiplayer.

They are: Charlemagne, Broken Star, WWII, Next War, Gods of Old, Crossroads.
