PC crashing, Blank Screen.

Hi,

My system is a 500mhz PIII with 256mb ram and a PCI 64mb geforce2. My o/s is xp pro and I have a one year old Samsung monitor.

My PC crashes when running CIVIII the screen goes blank and the monitor light flashes, this can happen at any time.

So far I have re-installed the game, updated the driver for the graphics card and monitor, modified the civ3 .ini file, tried every resolution and updated the firmware on my PC.

Is there anything else I can do as at the moment the game is pretty much unplayable.

what did you add the the civ3.ini file?

KeepRes=1 that didn't work so I changed it to KeepRes=0 that didn't work either
