I've got hold of a kindle, and I'm using it to catch up with some of the PDFs I've accumulated. Problem is, some of them have been scanned to include both facing pages at once, which makes it an absolute bugger to read on the kindle because of the limited zoom/view-adjust feature. Is there any way that I can split the individual pages in these pdfs into two pages, and, if so, does it involve manually hacking ever single page into two separate halves?

Basically, I want to go from the first image to the second image:

Is this actually possible?

edit: Nevermind, figured it out for myself- found a bit of freeware called BRISS. 'Snice.

If you grab IrfanView and some plugin, you can do it with that. You gotta do it manually though with crop and save-as repeatedly, and it also removes any machine-readable text. Its like cropping an image.

I dont know of any automated solution, sorry

Whoops, sorry Aimee, managed to ninja through sheer coincidence of timing. Thanks all the same! :goodjob:
