but that wouldnt stop the settler problem, which we need to beaciase, as The Last Conformist said, we may need them when/of the AI pillages cities... but we need to be able to stop the AI from building colonies- it wont be much of a problm, as the only real open terrtory will be north of Thrace- and, if need be, i'm sure I could find a roman map the covers that territory (as i have exahusted more or less my best greek maps) and I will still need some persian maps

not to mention the whole trade thing- remember, one of the reasson for the sicillian campaign was to secure for Athens, and more importantlly, deny to Sparta the islands goods

Create a new "city terrain", and stopped the posibility of building cities on any other terrain. That solves the problem :goodjob:

Zip it, using winzip, and attach it to your post.

I could make a PTW version of the map, if you posted screenies of specific places, like Italy, Peloponnese, Macedon, etc. Easy File Upload system...I'll find it.:)

I think that the a new city terrain should perhaps show some small houses on a grassland terrain to suggest some human inhabitation already. Then "building a city" really represents taking the time and effort to turning it into an established community rather than a group of simple farm folk.

except mabey for the thracians,Paionians, and illyians, it isnt a problem- all the cities on the map are well established centers

:( O well...Calgacus, couldja post screenies of certain areas, like Italian Peninsula, etc, so I can make a PTW and Civ3 version so all civvers can see for themselves?:D

Double post:(

Triple Post!!!:vomit:

you'll need alot more then just italy Amenhotep- I stated over on a blank map, and made dozens of tile edits....

well, now that I think about it, not dozems, less then 15 I think

These are wonderful, but maybe just a little bit closer so I can make out the city names!;)

P.S. Xen, from what I can see, wonderful job!:goodjob:
