Permanent Alliances

Put them in a team.

Oh, i see...
You either stick the two civ's in a team from the custom game menu, start a game and then save it as WB-Scenario, or - probably the better way - you go and edit the WBS file.

There each Civ will be assgned to a team...
BeginPlayer
Team=0

I guess I'm confused about how the software differentiates between team members and players. For example, in the WBS file, units are listed as belonging to a team (not a player). So if I assign two players with the same team number, how can the software tell to which player a unit belongs?

There is a difference between a team and a civilization. Each civilization has control of its own units; the team only shares the same things that a permanent alliance does.

Start a Custom game, sticking yourself an a AI in one team and two AI's in another. Open Worldbuilder and save it as WBS Scenario. You can then use the scenario for reference, to see ho teams are setup.

Otherwise - like Milly said - usually in a Game each Civ is in its own team. But Civ/Player != Team.

I want to create an event that has one specific civ (the US) enter the war on a given turn number, and become a permanent ally of Britain. Does anyone know what the Python coding would be for that? Unfortunately, I don't know Python enough to create the coding needed.
