Ok, need some help here. I know I have briefly discussed taking food as part of my religion (General Discussion thread). While that was more generic, I am looking specifically for an early start strategy with Russia. My goal is a religious victory and I was second only behind Stonehenge. What I have been reading suggests Dance of the Aurora (which I took) and Feed the World (which I am also taking). I misunderstood Feed the World in thinking it matched 100% the faith of my Larva, but it only is the Shrine (+2 food) and +3 for Temples. I also found where Gurdwara is considered too expensive compared to Mosque (since you can spam Apostles out of one location vs. needing a Mosque in every city). But...the Larva is something that should be in every city to get its benefits. Below is my start and I have already planned two additional cities, which have plenty of Tundra. Based on the coastal cities, do I need more food beyond Feed the World? Also, my RV is probably more a spread my faith by sword as I like to go to war in Civ VI.

Between Gudwara and Mosque I would definitely go Mosque. The build cost of the the third religious buildings is high enough that its a bit too late for food to kick in. If you're going for a domination/religious victory then I don't really like your city locations. Top right by the river, so you have the iron for a knight rush, is the way to go. The far right spot is also way too production light. You can fit a decent number of cities in the southern tundra locations which would normally be terrible, but with feed the world you will have enough food there. Just be sure to have your builder policy cards so you can spam builders and chop your way into getting those cities up and running fast.

Those would not be my only two cities, just two of the three (counting my capital) that my religion would benefit the cities on Tundra. This map is a large, fractal which I appear to be isolated on. Those coastal cities also are based on sea resources. Sorry, I left this information out by mistake.

In my play style, I usually buy buildings with gold or faith. This is mainly due to the need to get cities up fast and block off my territory from the AI. I see many players mention that faith buildings as too costly. In Civ V, I always took Tithe...maybe that or Church Property...or Pilgrimage for a strategy?
