i have thought about this for a while and now i decided to post a petition to convince TF to impliment a Graphics Forum.

so if you agree that there needs to be such a forum where one can post Avatars, Desktop Schemes, Pictures, or anything else deemed belonging to such a forum, sign this petition.

Regards,

Mr. Dictator

yes, but i think site feedback shouldnt be used for things like this because it should be used for ideas on how to improve this site.

hence "site feedback"

Not a good idea... Our file server is getting more and more full with each passing day. We don't want to create a non-essential forum that would use lots of file server space.

Learn to use Google's Advanced Image Search... You can use it to find lots of avartars and other graphics files with ease. :)

I think it is a good idea. There are many forums that haven't gone posted in for much time that we might be able to delete in order to make space. Furthermore, do we really need all the archived forums? I feel it is a great way to express someone's artistic talent. Also, TF we weren't just thinking a place for avatars, but a place where someone can show off their art, have art competitions, etc.

Let's start a second hard drive donation thingy, we could get more than enough room if we just raised $100 and I'd give ten, if you'd provide an adress to mail it to.

I'd give 10 as well, but not just for a grphics forum to go up... just so I can enjoy a better cfc...

Baaaaad idea. And the mods will be stretched thin.

Resources are better utilised to support the Civ3 C&C and elsewhere, rather than some posters' hobby.

It's far more than just a 2nd hard drive. I searched on Telefragged, and the allowed bandwidth is something like 3 gigs a month transfer. Seems like a lot, but what if you have 100 people a day looking at, maybe, 10 megs of graphics a day - a conservative estimate (graphics still have to travel through to be shown on webpages). That's a gig a day right there. Not to mention, they might browse the threads a couple times a day, so, you're talking 2-3 gigs daily. This is a huge site. :)

If only 10 people a day viewed it, that's 100megs, or 3 gigs in 1 month. The graphics on this site alone already put a drain on the server, espeically those 2 meg bmp files that sometimes appear.
