Pics of your hometowns!

The world famous wallsend bridge.

Random photos of Alameda, California:

NOTE: The city in the distance is San Francisco. But the picture itself was taken on an Alameda beach

Some pictures of San Francisco:

The Cliff House(click the link).

Suprisingly, this house survived the 1906 quake only to fall to a fire during remodeling in 1907.

The Bay Bridge. This first picture is only of the second, larger span. The Bay Bridge carries more traffic then any other bridge in the world:

My city includes the island of Alameda(the city itself carries the same name) as well as the penensula Southeast of the island as well as the small island, called Coast Gaurd Island (which is a Coast Gaurd base), in the water between Alameda and Oakland.

Just type in High Prairie into a search engine and you should find my home town. Yes it is a lame little crap hole

Man for a small little town we sure do have a town of websites for half the nonsense that goes on there, but make sure its the High Prairie in Alberta Canada not the one in Washington...name stealers. Even can get up to date weather reports. It's -6 and clear

Cool thread, never noticed it until now.

Overview. The city's shield in the bottom right corner has been replaced. The present city shield is a dragon.

You mean shield?

Oh yeah that's right, shield in English, weapon is the term here... Thanks.

This thread should be a sticky;)

Give me 24 hours and I can find some good pictures of St Paul. It is an attractive Victorian Mississippi river town, there should be a few nice pictures on the web.

Unfair, you win, we can't all live in Paris. Though parts of it reminded me of a museum it is the most beautiful city I have been to. Though Savannah, Charleston and Boston are nice America can't even compete; all our true beauty is out in the hills, the mountains, and the countryside.

France and the USA are indeed both hosts to many mind-blowing cities! :)

But seeing Sweden's snowy cities fills me with Northern pride!

Those guys exist in every nation, they have a different slang name, mildly different outfits.

But their orc-like manners are the same!

I really live in Le Pecq, but since it's just a dormitory town in the suburbs of Paris and since I was born in Paris Intra-Muros, I claim Paris as my home city. Marla already posted some, but you can't have too much of a good thing :D

The Eiffel Tower at night, with its special 2000 celebrations illuminations:

Hehe :p
Well, the good part of Paris is the city, that's true, but the bad part is us, the parisians. We are undoubtedly some of the rudest people throughout the world ! (Tough competition between Paris and NYC though ;)). I think it's quite true when we say parisians feel in New York City as french people from the countryside feel in Paris : totally lost ! :)

People of New York, don't get mad, actually, I love rude and stressed people, I'm one of them after all ! From all the place I've been to, NYC is undoubtedly the one that fascinated me the most. For now, NYC is the only place I've visited where I deeply wanted to stay to live. I just love big dense cities where there are people everywhere. Off course, I totally understand people could hate that, feeling as if they couldn't breath. It's also true I've never lived in NYC so maybe I could be disappointed. Well anyway, my cities are definitly NYC and Paris. :)

By the way, I've seen really beautiful places in this thread. I've discovered cities like Salt Lake, Glasgow or Tromso and they seem really like nice place to live in. :)
