Yeah, I don't let myself take that belief anymore because it makes things too easy. Just get borobodur and station missionaries in every city state to ally them all. The AI also doesn't take it, I guess because they don't know to use missionaries to gain influence. Maybe keep the purchasing diplomatic units with faith but replace the missionaries giving influence with some kind of economic bonus, so it could be kind of like a diplomatic version of zealotry?

For Word of God however, I think we need to rebalance a bit.

+1. It is slightly strong in the latter eras, especially with Open Borders and no attrition.

Plus it's somewhat pointless to build diplo units if you can use missionaries the same way (unless they're being sent a very long way)
 
Ya Word of God is real good, also Akapana national wonder is nutz my capital almost has 200 production and its only at +16 in all yields.
 
Isn't Animism too lackluster? I have never been in any situation where I ever wanted to get it, especially when compared to other Enhancers.
 
I find its a very niche pick for starts with many Lake tiles (or Marsh, especially if you have a (custom) Civ that likes Marsh or bonuses like in my tweaks mod)
Missionaries ignoring terrain shouldn't be overlooked though because that's often the difference between getting to a City in one turn and spread versus sitting for a turn in foreign territory (and losing 250 strength). Again can be quite situational based on mapscript, but at least on Communitas there is a lot of rough terrain.

would have to be a very favorable map to be worth it for more than 1-2 cities, the yields (especially the "unimproved feature" part) look more like something a pantheon would have rather than an ability you'd need 2 Great Prophets to take

from experience Sacred Calendar solves this issue better, plus you get some yields, plus you get a GP boost
or Borobudur or Hagia Sophia, or just convert City States while waiting for open borders

I don't think it's a bad ability per se, just that it's firmly on the bottom tier as an Enhancer.
 
This MOD now seems to interfere with VP 4.20.2 and does not allow founding of a religion.
 
Same, no problems with 4.20.2. Prolly it's a conflict with another mod.
 
Looks like it was an older version of the MOD from Steam that had not gotten updated. I have since removed it and now religion is working as expected.
 
Faith of the Masses is not allowing purchase of stadiums in my game at VP 4.20.2. All other cultural buildings are fine.

I looked into the mod files and there is no code that allows Stadium to be purchased with Faith even though the TXT_KEY_BELIEF_UNDERGROUND_SECT was changed to say so.
Balance-wise it's weird to add Stadium while Gallery that is proper cultural buildings is left out.
I think it was removed along the way but the text was not adjusted.

As I see that you have returned to modding, I wanted to bring up three beliefs that I find too powerful. I can also talk to @hokath who, as part of his Hokath proposal mod, also makes changes to beliefs:
Word of God: That you have already reworked is still too much in favor of the missionary compared to the diplomatic unit. In the modern era for example, a diplomatic unit will make 70-100 points for a cost of 700-900 (if you play fealty) while a missionary will make 100-150 pts (boroburur) for a slightly lower cost (450-600 if I'm not mistaken). I would really recommend a base at 6 in the classical era. In the same example we would have for a roughly similar cost 70-100 for a diplomatic unit against 60-90 for a missionary. I would also lower the cost of purchasing diplomatic units.

Earthly Paradise: The accumulation of the production bonus and gains when building a wonder make it too essential a founder, I personally have trouble taking something else, when I can, because the first AI founder systematically takes it (I don't know why). I don't really have a proposal though, to discuss if you are interested in modifying it.

Sacred Sites: The +4 tourism bonus on temples, hotels, and especially buildings purchased with faith is too powerful. This gives you a tourism fund at the start of the game if you take two religious buildings (or even three with the founder of fealty) that is too important, which will quickly position you for an easy cultural victory. I would be more inclined to go for a +2 :tourism:/+2 :c5culture: or +2 :tourism:/+2 :c5faith:.
